easyblog issue: utf-8 problem (?) with special characters (ü, ä, ö, etc.)

Installed on my website, there is a utf-8 problem when creating a single post in the easyblog-control panel.
German special characters (ä, ü, ö and so on) are initially accepted by the text editor of the easyblog-control panel and are also displayed correctly on the website after the first posting.
However, if you want to correct a post afterwards and call the easyblog text editor a second time, the special characters are destroyed, i.e. an “ü” becomes “ü”.
This error also occurs in the fields of the short descriptions of the blog list view.
How and where to correct this?
