  1. Open & edit easyblog.php with Notepad++ or Sublime Text free editors. Using another editor to save the file can change the text encoding and break the code.
  2. Change at least username, password values (do not use default values to increase the security).
  3. Add a new Easyblog widget block into your Muse Workspace.
  4. Attach easyblog.php file in the widget settings, you will see how preview changes showing you dummy posts.
  5. Customize the widget as you want and upload your website to any PHP compatible server.

  1. Remember to attach easyblog.php in the widget settings to start using this widget.
  2. The widget will automatically adapt the content to every breakpoint.
  3. If you want different settings of the widget in different breakpoints (like “posts per page” value), you must use the “Hide in breakpoint” or “Show in other breakpoints” features under multiple copies of the widget.
  4. POST ARCHIVE: use these settings to control the post list that will appear for every category.
  5. SINGLE POST: use these settings to control how every single post will look.

To make the widget installation easier, we do not recommend you to create new categories until you succesfully tested the blog. The widget contains three default categories: General, News and Events.

  1. You can edit, remove or create new categories by editing easyblog.php file “blogcategories” value.
  2. Keep the values between the double quotes, you must enter new categories values separating them using the comma symbol.
  3. If you want to use more than one category, you must create different Muse pages (one per category) and place Easyblog widget inside every page.
  4. In every widget settings you must write the category name that it will show. This name must be written using the same name that you have used in the step 2.

  1. If you did not change your filename, your backend login screen will appear in http://yoursite.com/assets/easyblog.php
  2. Visit the control panel URL and enter the username and password that you have previously set up.
  3. Using the control panel you can manage the blog contents.

  1. If you do not see anything in the widget preview or when uploading the site to your PHP compatible server:
    • Check that you have followed the recommendations stated in step 1 of “HOW DOES IT WORK” section.
    • Check that you server is PHP compatible.
  2. Notice that this widget will not work when using “preview in browser” option. It needs to be uploaded to a PHP web server.
  3. If you are a free user, you can submit your problems in our free support forum.
  4. If you are a premium user, you can submit a ticket that will be answered by our support team.
