In this tutorial, you will learn how to add a recent posts section on your WordPress theme in Themes Generator. We will show you how to add this block on your homepage and how you can style it in WordPress. There are many plugins that allow you to show the latest post of your blog but they don’t have many styling options. You will be able to fully control the design of this recent posts section in Themes Generator.
In Themes Generator, drag the Latest posts block into your workspace. You can place it where ever you want and as you can see in the tutorial, we will place 3 latest posts block in different sections. When you are done with your WordPress theme, export it into WordPress and install it.
In WordPress – Customize you can style each block. You can select the number of posts to show, the size of the thumbnails, the font size and color, and, select the category to show in each. All these styling options will help you design the layout of this section.
If you have a blog and you are interested in driving traffic to it, showing your recent posts on your homepage is the first step. You need to catch your user’s attention on your homepage and let them know that you have interesting content to read.
