Adobe Muse is a program where you can design websites without coding. You can design some elements inside Muse but most of times, you will need another tool like Illustrator or Photoshop for your workflow.
If you do not have access to any of the design programs above, simple things like adding color to your icons can turn difficult. In most of the websites where you can download free icons, you can just get them in black and in others you can choose your color. But still, you will not be able to reuse the same icon for other projects as you cannot change the color.
We are going to show you a little trick! You can add color to PNG icons in Muse. Just follow these steps:
- Get your PNG icons in Muse. Select the first icon and click on Effects -> Glow. Enable Glow and Inner glow. Select a color and bring up the opacity until 100%. You will also need to bring up the blur. In a solid icon like the club, you will need to bring it up quite a lot. What happens is that the inner glow colors the png icon.
- As another example, color the light bulb. It is a completely different icon than the club, as it is a thin line with no fill. Follow the steps above and notice that in this case, you do not need to bring up the blur.
- You can also click on the shadow tab and add a shadow effect to the icon.
